Information about the 172 Bus Service
Residents can now get a bus directly to Bath as a result of an extension to the route of the 172 bus service.
The revised route will provide new links to and from Farrington Gurney, as well as providing connections with Service 376 for travel towards Bristol, Wells and Street. Farrington Gurney already has use of the 376 Mendip Explorer – Bristol – Pensford – Wells – Glastonbury and Street and the extension of the 172 to Farrington Gurney will now provide residents with vital links to Tesco and beyond to Bath as well providing an additional service to get to Wells.
Farrington Gurney to Tesco
- Residents can get on a 172 at Main Street (South Bound), By-pass (East Bound) Manor Farm (East Bound) or Minors Arms (East Bound) bus stops and arrive at Tesco in under 10 minutes. The return journey will drop off at Farrington Gurney Minors Arms (West Bound), Manor Farm (West Bound) and the By-pass (West Bound) bus stops.
Farrington Gurney to Bath Bus Station
- Residents can get on a 172 at the Ham Lane (N Bound) bus stop. The journey will take approximately 50 minutes.
Another link to Wells
- Residents can also use the 172 from the Main Street (S Bound) bus stop to get to Wells – HSBC Bank (South Bound). The journey will take approximately 18 minutes.
Please check the bus times before you plan your journey as minor changes to the 172 timetable have resulted from this addition to the service.
